The Celebrity Series of Boston is Aaron Richmond’s personal legacy. In April 1938, the Boston impresario formally announced the creation of the Aaron Richmond Celebrity Series. He went on to run the organization for 27 years, and left a remarkable personal legacy of music, dance, and performing arts for our community. Thanks to Aaron Richmond’s vision and passion, audiences from Boston and beyond have experienced renowned artistic talent from around the world. Fittingly, our planned giving society is named in his honor.
If you share Aaron Richmond’s passion for performance arts in Boston, and would like to leave your own legacy of artistic excellence for future generations, please consider making a planned gift and joining The Aaron Richmond Legacy Society.
Celebrity Series accepts a range of planned gifts including bequests, life income plans, charitable lead trusts, and retirement plans. Regardless of the type of contribution, all planned gifts are appreciated, and serve as a powerful expression of your commitment to live performance in our community.
The most popular planned gift is a bequest. This is a donor’s indication of his or her intent to leave a future gift. You can add a bequest to your estate plans simply by including the following sample language as a clause in your will or trust.
I give [Amount in Words] dollars ($__________) OR [Amount in Words] percent (__________%) of the residue of my estate to the Celebrity Series of Boston, a performing arts charitable organization located at 20 Park Plaza, Suite 1032 in Boston, for the benefit of its general purposes.
You can transfer up to $100,000 to charity, tax-free from your IRA each year. Fidelity account holders can click here to access the distribution form online.
All assets, including securities, life insurance policies, CDs, retirement accounts, and real property, may be transferred to the Celebrity Series of Boston through your estate.
A variety of charitable gift vehicles that provide an income, usually for life, to a donor and/or his or her designated beneficiaries are referred to as Life-Income Gifts. Life income gifts include, among other things, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, both unitrust and annuity trusts, and charitable lead trusts.
